7 Years in the Photography Industry

I figured it was about time I introduced myself. So hi, I'm Caisha :) A budget friendly photographer based here in Wakefield (born and bred). 

I first started photography back when I was in college, around 7 years now! However when I first started out, I hated the idea of being a wedding photographer. I actually wanted to be a sports photographer ( very different I know). 

Back in 2019, I worked alongside Pontefract Collieries, to capture their home games. Even though I liked the outcomes of the photographs, I soon realized sport photography wasn’t for me like I had originally thought.

By this point I was reaching my second year in photography at Wakefield College. This is where I got to experience so many different styles of photography. My favorite experience was working alongside the Prince of Wales Hospice to capture their first ever look good feel better event. It was so eye opening meeting all the in/out reach patients and hearing their stories. 

In August 2019, my mum asked me to capture her wedding, after some thought I did just that, and I fell in love! 

Since then I knew I wanted to be a wedding photographer, but then Covid hit! 

Fast forward to 2023, I start working as a wedding photographer alongside my marketing apprenticeship. 

So here we are, 7 years since I first started and I am fully booked up for Summer 2024!
